Valparaiso, “Vale of Paradise”, is a city in northwest Indiana filled with culture and entertainment. Taltree Arboretum and Gardens is a favorite, and has the largest collection of oak trees in Indiana as well as an award winning garden railway. Valparaiso has a great variety of museums, like Brauer Museum of Art, Porter County Museum, and the Indiana Aviation Museum. For live entertainment, Valparaiso is proud of its Valparaiso Theatrical Company as well as the Memorial Opera House and Chicago Street Theatre. The city has two major festivals each year, the Popcorn Festival and the Porter County Fair which both host musical performances and other events. Valparaiso also has a variety of wineries and breweries, like Anderson’s Vineyard & Winery, Figure 8 Brewing, and Four Fathers Brewing. There is never a dull moment in Valparaiso.
