Honeywell Center adds new shows to 2019 roster
WABASH, Ind. – The Honeywell Center has added two new shows to its list of entertainment for 2019. They include the southern rock band Blackberry Smoke, performing in the Ford Theater on Tues., March 19 at 7:30 p.m., and the dueling pianos of Howl at the Moon, performing on Fri., April 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Legacy Hall. Tickets for both shows will be on sale on Jan. 16 at 10 a.m.
Blackberry Smoke will perform a series of stripped-down shows this spring as part of their newly confirmed “Break It Down Tour,” the band’s first-ever acoustic tour. The band will tour extensively throughout 2019 including a national headline tour—with upcoming performances in Dallas, TX, Austin, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA, Nashville, TN and more—as well as a series of shows in South America and several dates with Tedeschi Trucks Band this summer as part of their “Wheels of Soul Tour.”
The newly announced shows celebrate the release of Blackberry Smoke’s new acoustic EP, The Southern Ground Sessions, which was released last fall. Created as a companion to the band’s latest full-length album, Find A Light, the EP was recorded at Southern Ground studio in Nashville, TN and features stripped-down versions of five album tracks as well as a rendition of Tom Petty’s “You Got Lucky” featuring Amanda Shires. The EP, which was recently named one of the “10 Best Country EPs of 2018” by Rolling Stone, continues to receive critical acclaim. Tickets are $100, $45, and $32.
Howl at the Moon is a unique nightlife experience straight from downtown Indianapolis! Professional pianists and musicians from the popular hot-spot Howl at the Moon will perform your favorite songs (and requests) in this high-energy, live music show in the casual atmosphere in Legacy Hall. Food and beverages will be available. General admission tickets are $20. Reserved tables are $160 (8 seats) or $80 (4 seats). Corporate sponsorship for Howl at the Moon is provided by Pizza King of Wabash.
